Celebrating with Big Friends

Our birthday bash for Monte started with a brunch for some big friends who have been with us, helped us with Monte from day 1. Grammie Lisa was visiting for the celebrations.

Nanu's hat is a big hit with our little guy. Love in every stitch & room to grow (which is essential for Monte's + 100% head size).

Baking The Cake

OK...so a little note about my cake-baking debacle. It ended up taking FAR too long, I forgot the eggs, it sort of collapsed under its own heavy *torte-like-weight* but everyone was very nice & ate small pieces just the same.

Grammie Arrives For the B-Day Festivities

Lots of adventures around town with FUN Grammie. Day 1 we head out for lunch with Willa to the Olympic Sculptural Park. Great views, great to catch up & enjoy family time.

Around the House

Monte is very dedicated to his dental hygiene. He also loves the post-brush rinse. He douses himself with his open cup of water, resulting in layers & layers of clothes to stay dry (see Aussie t-shirt result, thanks Aunt Rose).

Uncle Yuri Visits

A fun sunny weekend with Uncle Yuri. Visiting the Ballard locks, Monte showed off his walking style & celebrated with sushi @ Sams. We like Yuri visits!

Crawl Cam

He is on the go! After a getting a slower start @ 11 months he is making up for lost time SUPER fast! Every day he discovers new corners of our little house, delights with each conquest & starts all over again. Day one crawl, day two pull up, day three cruise the furniture. We have been madly hiding non-baby friendly items. Luckily, he has not discovered the TP in the bathroom yet, whew!

Yippee...the days are getting longer, the sun is coming out from hibernation. Our little guy was all smiles at the park.

Morning with Monte

Well Monte seems to be in a new morning *rut*-ine...he wakes up at 5am & wants to play. Hard to say no when he is in such a happy mood; he sleeps his 10 hrs & then is ready to get the day going.

Corvalis Adventure

We headed out for the open road & end up 4 hours later in Corvallis, Oregon. Rob, Jen & cutie Skya live in a new co-housing development along with a dozen other folks. We ate well, walked around town & enjoyed watching the kiddies play together.
