Monte's First Camping Adventure

We joined Jackie & Viv along the Mountain Loop Hwy. The site was just tucked off the road, by a creek & perfect for our first outdoor adventures with little Monte.





We also tested our new tent (thanks Yuri) & Monte loved peeking up at the big trees, eating my sleeping bag & playing with Lief (super) early in the morning.

At Daycare

Lots of new things at daycare...seven other babies & many fancy toys. Not quite getting the hang of them all yet!

Zoo Tunes

We were at the Woodland Zoo for an outdoor concert the other night. It was Monte's first music venue & he crashed out completely by the end of the evening!

Up, up & away

Lief plays airplane with Monte a lot. Monte is a big fan! That must be a record for the longest strand of drool to date.

Berry-Good

It has not been an ideal summer for the garden; but at least we beat the birds to some of the fruit.

So Monte is "discovering" his voice & can shriek like nobody's business. We play this little game in the car with our hands to pass the time.

I love this! Lief gets Monte all riled up with smiles & giggles. Lief's beard really tickles him silly.

Off to Work

Yup, I am back at work (I wear glasses there to look smart). Monte & I head off in a scramble in the mornings, luckily his daycare is just downstairs from my office desk, a 2 minute 30 second distance, but who is counting...I visit lots :-)

Sunday Vittles

Yummy BBQ for the parents of the Baby Boy club: Monte, Oscar, Daniel and Zachary. The 5th straight day of Seattle rain couldn't stop us!!

Brunch with Scott & Margo

Off to Portage Cafe, one of our favorites. Monte showed off his 18 pound luster.

Can you see the drool? Not quite teething but it is in our near future without a doubt. He is wearing his farmer overalls; thanks Amanda H!

My Toes

It is all about the toes lately, quite a discovery. They are his new friends, toys and provide constant entertainment. In yoga it is called "happy baby pose" or "dead bug pose" you choose :-)

Mad Scientist

He loves his garage sale gift from Uncle John.

"Swimming" Lessons

Monte & I adventure on Tuesdays to "Waterbabies" with Tessa & Oscar. He loves it, relaxes in the water & gets dipped like a dolphin smiling each time, yippee.

Medicine Time

After day #2 of daycare Monte caught his first cold, cough & developed an ear infection. He took his medicine like a good trooper though, we called it "the Medicine stick."

Sneaking Out for our 5th Anniversary

We celebrated quickly, powering through three courses in one hour at a nearby Italian restaurant. I made sure the phone was working, yes...the nervous Momma.

Class Reunion

So here is Penny; who taught our invaluable pre-natal class. We have kept in touch with many of the folks as new baby couple friends!

Here Monte is showing off his new hat! It is from a cute home grown company in South Berwick, Maine where Grammie Lee Lee lives.
