Enjoying the Japanese Tea Garden

Our first time at the Garden after how many years of living in Seattle?!? It is just beautiful there, very inspiring for my upcoming landscape design work. Lief is sporting our hand-me-down backpack from the LA cousins (thanking you). Monte is sporting Momma's bright orange hat from Seattle sister (thanking you).

Out at the Pumpking Patch

Enjoying the unusually sunny stretch of Pacific Northwest fall weather & went out for our first pumpkin patch farm adventure.

Fun to swing along with Aunt Mishy, cousins Ruby & Gus at the Zoo playground. Monte is a bit of a novice & has not figured out what to do with his arms or hands quite yet. Fall weather is creeping up quickly; making the most of it before daylight savings steals away our afternoon playground time.

Bay Area Weekend

Visiting Aunt Didi, Uncle Guy with cousins Ella & Oscar. Fun to walk around my old stopping grounds & catch up with family friends. Monte gets tuckered out from all the travel.

Loving the Duck

Monte shows the duck who's boss every time they tub together. It squeaks, begs for mercy but seems to float back to Monte for more. A fun gift from Sheri.

Yes, Lief took Monte is the cold, rainy weather to a b-ball game while the Mommas had a lazy lunch downtown. Hmmm, who got the better end of that deal?

Soap Box Races

Leave it up to Fremont to attract stranger-still outdoor events. This time soap box races that took over Fremont Ave, a complete eclectic scene that jam packed our streets.

House Time

It was Lief's birthday (old man is now 39 :-) & Grammie Lee Lee was in town to celebrate with us. We had lots of floor play time together.

The market was in full swing. We were out on the deck of the Pink Door. Monte is a big fan of cups, especially red ones or yellow ones.

A Favorite Activity

It is called a "chum bag" to prevent gagging. After some curious tries, Monte got the hang of eating/sucking on watermelon.

Celebrating the High Holidays

Yes, this is a fuzzy toy Torah we played with while singing "Happy Birthday to the world" to celebrate the New Year. It was packed with tiny ones at services, very exciting for the little Monte.

Time for some fall threads; it is getting cold. Getting dressed is an involved activity.

Shot Recovery

So at a little over six months our little Monte is quite a big Monte. He is 20 lbs/14 oz, 28 1/4 inches & has a 18 3/4 inch head size. The Ped actually measured his height twice, just to make sure. Luckily the shots didn't seem to bother Monte too much!
