Fremont Peak Park grand opening

Our new neighborhood park finally opens up! The panorama to the West is impressive; a view of the cut leading out past the Locks, the Olympics in the background. I imagine this could become our regular sunset spot.







It was quite an event. Luckily no rain & lots of sunshine for the big event. Lots of folks from Parks & Rec, locals who had been the pioneers to establish the park & a band too!! We had been there a couple of weeks ago to help out with the installation of the native plants. In fact Lief planted two huge Vine Maples (that still look alive today, dormant but alive). Here is Monte parked between the two Maples on the path that leads to the upper terrace.



It was especially nice to see so many young families, babies & of course... the cake in the shape of the park was an unusual bonus. Here too is some walk-by art work painted by some of the first visitors to the park.

Luckily today is sunny so things will dry out & they can crank out some more work! You've been gone a week, does it look like things are progressing (yes, yes)?

hey dadda...day 6

so momma has me playing with this sad invention of toy...but it makes me smile & wave for the camera. today has been a short nap day at daycare, less than one hour. can you tell?

monte was quite entertained with his new book, a gift from Rollie/Teri Jo...friends from baby class.

day 5...dear dadda

this daylight savings has me all confused; getting up at 4am is tough on me I tell ya! momma fell asleep in the rocking chair again, hehehe. me, just catching up on some sleep with my third nap of the day totaling FIVE big hours. this teething thing, being in baby class, rocking back & forth on my knees... very busy, busy day indeed.

Music Class

Monte loves class, his teacher Ted & the big pumpkins to lick. We (I) am learning loads about music & how much fun singing to babies can be!!

hi dadda...momma is now making me take out the recycling while you are away. not fair. luckily i know where to hide my paper-toys so she doesn't toss them.

rabbit teeth coming

Can you see the new tooth? On his left side, it just popped through. The right side is not too far behind. And a happy & healthy gap between these new pearly whites...our little rabbit. One up & one down, both on the left side, ouch for Momma :-[

Strolling around Cap. Hill during Halloween rush hour with our little devil. Between my brother-in-laws killer cocktails & the camera flash, I could hardly keep my eyes open.

Of course Grammie Lee Lee was quite impressive as a red head; who would of thought it wasn't her real hair color!
